I can see some parallels with this game, similar concepts maybe, with different implementation. I would say it was well ahead of it's time and ahead of what was realistically possible then too. Do you think it is still enjoyable now? Millenia: Altered Destinies was a unique concept, affecting the timeline, jumping around in your ship, communicating with your representatives on the planets and deciding what tech to introduce or remove and effect changes, was all great, but the game was heavily limited by the technology of the time and the constraints those limits placed on both gameplay and narrative.
